Built to close a gap that annual questionnaires structurally cannot
Magnitude was founded in Boston in 2024 by a team with deep experience in enterprise security operations and third-party risk management. We built it because the tools that existed assumed annual cycles, and the risk landscape had stopped waiting for annual cycles.
Our Story
Why we stopped waiting for a tool that already existed
The standard in third-party risk management has been the annual or semi-annual questionnaire for long enough that the industry built entire platforms around automating questionnaire delivery. The questionnaire is still the dominant artifact, even as the threat landscape moved to continuous.
Rami had spent years working directly with enterprise security and procurement teams on third-party risk program design. The same conversation kept happening: teams would learn a vendor had a significant incident weeks or months after it first appeared in public data. Questionnaire responses were clean. The incident happened between review cycles. The gap was structural, not a process failure anyone could optimize away.
Magnitude is designed to close that structural gap, by continuously reading the signals that appear before incidents are publicly large enough to require a questionnaire response. We do not replace vendor assessments. We make the time between them stop being a blind spot.

Years building compliance monitoring tools for enterprise security programs, working directly with procurement and risk teams to understand where third-party visibility actually breaks down.

CTO and Co-founder
Background in distributed data pipeline engineering for security telemetry, building real-time signal processing and entity resolution systems at production scale. Focused on the hard parts of matching noisy external data against structured internal rosters.
